Classic cardigan
This classic cardigan was the very first knitting project I completed. When I first learned how to knit, I knew I wanted to knit a cardigan first. It may sound like a complex first project for a complete beginner, but I wanted to challenge myself and decided to go for it. It took me six long months of hard work, but I ended up with a beautiful handmade cardigan.
I relied a lot on a Youtube knitting tutorial explaining the basic knitting stitches and everything I needed to finish the cardigan. The pattern that I used is a free pattern from Yarnspirations. Check out our easy knitting to tutorial that will show you how to knit the basic knitting stitches you will need for this project.
Materials I used:
-
-
-
- Wool of the Andes Worsted yarn in color Mink Heather from Knitpicks
- Nickel Options Interchangeable Circular Set: Green Cables, sizes US 7 and US 8
- 5 buttons
- Tapestry needle

This cardigan has a beautiful classic design that looks good with everything. I used wool so it would feel keep me warm, but you can use another type of yarn like cotton yarn for a summer cardigan.
