About
My name is Jackelin and I’ve been knitting for two years. Ever since I was a kid, I always considered myself a crafty and creative person. I loved to learn new crafting hobbies, which led me to learn how to sew, embroider, crochet and knit. I learned everything from watching Youtube videos and reading blogs.
My first crafting hobby with yarn was actually crochet. I was 14 years old and searched for a tutorial on a blog to crochet a teddy bear as a gift for a friend. I never crocheted anything in my life, but I wanted to make a thoughtful and handmade gift for my friend. That first project took me so long to complete and wasn’t perfect but taught me a lot and inspired me to crochet more.
Fast forward to 2020, during the pandemic, I found myself with a new job and a little stressed. I’ve watched some short videos on knitting and decided to try it out. I bought my first set of knitting needles and haven’t stopped knitting since then.
Knitting became a way for me to destress and put my creativity to use. As I experimented more with my knitting, modifying free patterns I found online and even trying to create my own patterns, I decided that it would be nice to have a blog to share all my experiences, knitting projects and small tutorials. That’s how Couple of Needles was born.
Thank you for visiting Couple of Needles and I hope you enjoy reading my posts, my knitting projects and encourage yourself to learn how to knit. You won’t regret it, just like I didn’t.
